Coronavirus (COVID-19) Guidance for Religious Services
Taking care of each other’s wellbeing as a community of faith: how to minimise the spread of illness.
• Parishioners who are ill (even if symptoms are mild) should not attend church services.
Mass is available via the internet and via television and radio.
• Sign of Peace: during the sign of peace it is fine to simply smile, wave, or bow to one other to convey Christ’s peace.
• Communion on the tongue: the HSE advises that Holy Communion should be administered into the hands only, not onto the tongue.
