The Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh, Kilfenora and the Diocese of Clonfert invite applications from suitably qualified persons who may wish to be a member of the Diocesan Advisory Team for Primary Religious Education.
This team takes particular responsibility for supporting religious education in primary schools and enabling parishes to support parents in the religious education of primary school children.
This position is part-time (approx. 120 flexible hours per school year) and on a consultancy fee basis.
Prospective candidates should hold a degree in Education, Theology or Catechetics, have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, have familiarity with Catholic Preschool and Primary School Religious Education Curriculum for Ireland (2015), proven experience of the Grow in Love programme, excellent computer skills, and be holders of a valid driving licence with the use of a car, and be willing to work across both Dioceses. The applicant will be committed to the ethos of the Catholic faith.
