We are delighted to share that a group of young people from the Diocese of Galway and the Diocese of Clonfert recently attended the 35th Mladifest in Medjugorje. This event provided an opportunity for our youth to deepen their faith and connect with other young Catholics from around the world.
Pope Francis sent a special message to the participants, emphasising the importance of becoming true disciples of Christ. He reminded them, “You, dear friends, are called to become authentic disciples of Christ. Remain in the presence of the Master to meditate on the Word of God, allowing it to illuminate your mind and heart.”
The Pope also encouraged the youth to be courageous in their faith, saying, “You must have the courage to speak of Christ in your families, in your educational and working environment, in your free time. Announce Him above all with your life.”
The experience at Mladifest was truly inspiring, offering those present a chance to grow spiritually and to commit themselves more fully to the Church and the world. They are encouraged to be fearless apostles of the Good News, living out their faith in their families, schools, workplaces, and communities.
