The Passion Narrative in the Gospel of Luke
“We, the women and men of the Church, we are in the middle of a love story: each of us is a link in this chain of love. And if we do not understand this, we have understood nothing of what the Church is”. (Pope Francis)
Over four evenings online during Lent we will look at the Passion of Jesus, beginning with the Last Supper right through to his crucifixion and death, as told to us in the Gospel of Luke. This is the climax of the love story between us and God; but we have to understand its meaning for us as disciples in today’s world. Only then can we hope to put our faith into practice.
