YOUCAT is a programme explaining the faith of the Catholic Church, vividly and clearly, officially confirmed by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome.

The four sections of YOUCAT show the connection between Catholic faith and life in a logical and simple way: faith professed, faith celebrated, faith lived, and faith prayed.

This study course runs for 20 sessions. The content of the course is suitable for all who are seeking to learn the truths of the Catholic faith — young people, those responsible for passing on the faith to others, parents, grandparents, or teachers.

Its aim is to help us live and witness our faith in daily life. The course would also be beneficial to adults preparing for the sacraments, or those inquiring about the Catholic faith.

There is an introductory session on Thursday 12th October, with the course proper beginning on Thursday 19th October 2022, running from 7:30pm to 8:45pm, at the Diocesan Pastoral Outreach Centre, Newtownsmith, Galway.
Two books are used during the course, costing approximately €20.

Contact Sara at 085 7221121 for more information or to book your place.

The course is facilitated by Sara Kyne, who has completed a three-year catechetics course accredited by the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.
